The ECTN, also referred to as BSC, is a requirement for all shipments to Burundi as mandated by the country’s customs authorities. This law stipulates that any goods being imported to Burundi for professional, diplomatic, or private purposes, which were purchased outside the country, must obtain a loading certificate. The shipper or freight forwarder must secure the ECTN waiver certificate from an authorized representative.
