What is the Chad ECTN Certificate?
A new article (Article No. 2 of Joint Decree No. 039 / PR / PM / MID / 2016) detailing the agents authorized to issue Chad BESC certificates was published by the Chad Shippers Council (COC-TCHAD) in 2016.
All cargo shipments to Chad must include a document called the “Bordereau électronique de Suivi de Cargaison” (BESC) in French or “Electronic Cargo Tracking Note” (ECTN) in English. This certificate confirms the cargo’s legitimacy and its adherence to Chad’s legal requirements.
