What is the Ivory Coast BSC Certificate?
All cargo entering Ivory Coast must be accompanied by a BSC certificate for clearance; otherwise, the shipment will be returned to its origin. The BSC must be approved no later than five days before the ship’s arrival. BSC stands for “Bordereau de Suivi des Cargaisons,” which translates to Cargo Tracking Note (CTN).

What documents are required for the Ivory Coast BSC certificate?
The following documents are mandatory to obtain the Ivory Coast BSC certificate:
- Bill of Lading (Application can be made with a draft copy, but the original is required for validation)
- Commercial Invoice (Currency in USD or EURO)
- Freight Invoice (If freight charges are not included in the commercial invoice)
- F.D.I. Document (Fiche de déclaration à l’importation, provided by the importer in Ivory Coast)
- Local Insurance Certificate (Certificat d’assurance, provided by the importer in Ivory Coast)
- Export Customs Document with Statistical Value
- Country of Origin (On commercial invoice or packing list)
- Certificate of Origin (If goods originate outside the EU)
- Volume of Goods (For Breakbulk or RORO shipments)
