What is the Madagascar BSC Certificate?
A BSC certificate is necessary for all exports to Madagascar and must be obtained at least 3 days before completing the declaration and submitted at least 5 days prior to the vessel’s arrival in the customs territory. If the BSC document is not provided, the shipment will be returned to its origin.
Certificate Requirements
Here are the documents required for the Madagascar BSC certificate:
- Bill of Lading (Draft copy can be used for application; original required for validation)
- Commercial Invoice (Must include consignee name, incoterms, payment terms, H.S. codes for each item, and origin of goods)
- Freight Invoice (Not required if freight value is included in the commercial invoice)
- Packing List (Must include container numbers, gross & net weights, and shipper/consignee name and address)
- Customs Declaration
To begin the certification process, email PDF versions of the required documents to info@ectnindia.com. Hard copies are not necessary for issuing the BSC certificate. Ensure the documents are final and require no revisions, as penalty charges will apply for revisions after validation.
