What is the Togo ECTN Certificate?
Many shipments leave the port of Lomé, Togo, for transit to other countries. Even if your cargo is only in transit to another destination, the ECTN certificate is still required. This necessitates obtaining both the Togo and the final destination certifications. Togo Customs Officials made this a law in 2000, so it’s important to check the procedure if your shipment is headed elsewhere.
Certificate Requirements
The following documents are required for the Togo ECTN certificate:
- Bill of Lading
- Commercial Invoice
- Customs Declaration
- Freight Invoice (Not required if the freight value is included in the commercial invoice)
To begin the certification process, send PDF versions of the required documents to info@ectnindia.com. Hard copies are not needed for ECTN certification. Ensure that the documents you submit are final and don’t require revisions, as penalties will apply for changes after validation.
